What’s on in Melbourne Victoria – Dananananakroyd
Dananananakroyd may have one of the most annoying names to say and spell since Bananarama came out but that doesn’t mean they are not worth going to see. Definitely don’t judge this book by its curiously spelled cover.
This gig is a sideshow of them performing for this year’s much-talked-about Splendour In The Grass.
The six Scotsman that make up this band have toured Europe, America and Australia and have caused a stir wherever they have gone.
The band describes their music as “Fight Pop” and things can get pretty lively. Back in 2009, lead singer, John Baillie Junior had to have emergency surgery in Sydney after snapping bones in his wrist and elbow while on stage. Their Australian Tour was cut short because of this so fingers crossed someone has a first aid kit at the ready this time.
With two albums now under their belts, the Melbourne audience will no doubt be treated to hit songs from them both.
