What’s on in Melbourne Victoria – SBTRKT

SBTRKT who is owning 2011’s music scene will be playing an intimate club show at Melbourne’s Roxanne Parlour on Friday October 21.

The London producer, and DJ, has one of the year’s most celebrated albums of 2011 – the self-titled album, SBTRKT earned a rating of 8.1 on the taste barometer, Pitchfork.

His unique blend of emerging UK dance sounds are dripping in soul – thanks to his work with vocalists like Sampha and Little Dragon. Signed to the well-regarded Young Turks label, also home to El Guincho, Jamie xx and The xx, SBTRKT has seen praised heap upon him from The Guardian to The New York Times. This is SBTKRT’s only Melbourne show, and a rare chance to catch one of the world’s most exciting, and progressive musicians.
