What’s on in Melbourne Victoria – The Reigate Rip-Roarer
Come one, come all to the first annual Reigate Rip-Roarer! Local purveyors of handcrafted alternative folk-rock, the Reigate Squires, have thrown together a lineup consisting of Melbourne’s finest, all ready to tear shit up for the Australian Red Cross. It’s community fundraising at its finest, offering a plethora of local talent for you to enjoy – bands such as Van Myer, Rare Child, The Mill, and of course the Reigate Squires themselves.
The Rip-Roarer is set to take place on the 22nd of October, at the Brunswick Hotel. Over 20 acts will appear, kicking off at 1 pm and not stopping till the wee hours. Complementing the blistering range of talent appearing on the main stage – The Winter Migration, Into the Woods and Holliava to name a few – the courtyard will see a diverse range of acoustic acts making the afternoon all the more pleasant – including Sam Green and the Time Machine, Sleepirasta and Folk Train.
Additionally, a CD raffle gives you the chance to take home music from the bands’ appearing, and a barbecue out the back completes what should be a ripping time. All proceeds go straight to the Australian Red Cross – so with great music, good company, potentially fantastic weather and a cause of the highest order, what more could you possibly need! Ladies and Gentlemen, we’ll see you at the Brunswick Hotel!
