Australia’s Outback center is a scenic yet steaming desert!  As such, the winter weather is much more suitable for Outback road trips.  Even during the coldest times, the temperature remains warmer than 10oC (50oF) in the northern areas, gets less humid and rains less.  And winter is still warm enough to swim!

9-Day Darwin to Broome 4WD Tour

Embark on this enthralling exploration across 400,000 sq. km. of Australia’s final frontier!  Get up close to Australia’s most rugged landscapes and natural wonders in an amazing 4WD experience in this 9-Day adventure tour!  At the end of each day, set up a bush camp and campfire, cook up a feast and roll out the swags under a million stars!

Day 1:- Covers the astonishing Edith Falls in Katherine Gorge National Park and pushes towards the Western Australia / Northern Territory border by evening.

Day 2:- Aboriginal rock art, stories and myths as well as the freshwater lake Argyle fills the day.  Exploring the lake teeming with wallabies, crocodiles and birdlife as well as swimming and camping on our private island, completes the day.

Day 3 / Day 4 / Day 5:- Hiking and exploring the world’s most unique landscapes such as the Bungle Bungles at Purnululu National Park, home to the famous gigantic natural beehive formation of rock created by rivers over a period of 20 million years.  Hiking the Emma Falls and plunging down into the pool is the last feature.

Day 6:-This day meets you with the life-time adventure of crossing the 60m wide Pentecost River which is full of saltwater crocodiles in a 4WD vehicle.

Day 7 / Day 8:- Swimming, hiking and rock hopping are required skills for the adventures of exploring waterfalls, rugged cliffs, beautiful creeks, impressive gorges and rock art on these days.  

Day 9:- A 750m long underground creek in one of the oldest cave systems, with rock painting lined walls, transports you into the Aboriginal world. The final part of the tour features Windjana Gorge, full of picturesque cliffs, sandy beaches, meandering creek, and of course, freshwater crocodiles! The final sunset at Cable Beach in Broome marks the end of yet another amazing experience in Australia!
