Perth is the capital of Western Australia bordering the Swan River on one side and a large area of native bushland on the other. It is a city full of nature, history, adventure, arts and culture and dining. The choice is endless when it comes to places to visit and things to do in Perth. Perth to Exmouth overland tour Day 1- Perth to Cervantes
The tour departs from Perth and the first stop will be at Yanchep National Park to visit the koalas and also a cave in the park. Thereafter you can enjoy sand boarding at Lancelin. After lunch you can take a walk in the beach or even a quick swim at Cervantes. You must make a visit to the Nambung National Park where you will take in the Pinnacles at sunset and then spend the night in Cervantes.

As the journey north up the coast begins through historical Greenough and the Wildlife Park the first stop will be to see the horizontal trees. Once you arrive at the Hutt River Province which is a small breakaway country, you can meet a prince and hear about his country. The first place to visit for the day will be the Kalbarri National Park to the Z-Bend gorge for some optional abseiling and to take a hike. You can also enjoy a swim in a secluded pool, then on to Nature’s Window. After lunch, you enter the Midwest Outback. Next visit will be the strange Hamelin Pool stromatolites after which will be the World Heritage area of Shark Bay and the unique Shell Beach. You can spend the night at the most western town in Australia overlooking the Shark Bay.

You can meet the Bottle Nose Dolphins at Monkey Mai before heading to Eagle Buff. As you travel in an area called the Big Sky Country, you can see the second longest straight road in Australia. Before arriving at Coral Bay the first stop will be at Tropic of Capricorn where the Ningaloo Reef is just meters from the white sandy beach. There are numerous activities to do during the day such as a swim in the beach, snorkeling, boat tours and also swimming with Mantra Rays. There are day cruises with the whale sharks, dive charters to the outer reef, or explorer tours to Cape Range and Turquoise Bay. You can also snorkel into the underwater garden of the Ningaloo Reef where you can spot turtles, octopus and reef sharks and also see multi-coloured fish and the beautiful coral formations. Before finishing the trip you can have a view of the peninsular form the Vlamingh Head lighthouse.
