City Riots Unveil Video For ‘Wait For You’

We’ve got news of a new release from City Riots. The dream-weaving indie popsters have just unveiled the video to accompany their new single ‘Wait For You’from their album ‘Sea Of Bright Lights’ which is due for release on October 26th.

Directed by local photographer/filmmaker, Aaron Schuppan, the goal was to create something that visually brought to life the reverb drenched, melodic nature of the song.

Footage of the band was captured in an underground space in Adelaide and applies the idea of layering frames of footage. As the song progresses, more and more layers are added to the point that the picture itself almost becomes indecipherable. In order to create the desired effect, the video had to be edited entirely in still shots, second by second. One can only imagine the painstaking amount of hours spent on postproduction.
