Bird in Hand Winery
The Bird in Hand winery is situated in South Australia´s Adelaide Hills. Very close to the town of Woodside, the cellar door was founded by the Nugent family. Having studied winemaking at Roseworthy College and worked at McLaren Vale for a few years, Andrew purchased the property in Woodside together with his family in the 1990s. The property was previously a dairy farm when Andrew Nugent, planted more than 30 hectares of vines in 1997 and its first vintage was brought to life in 2001. The building which houses the winery and cellar door were renovated recently to upgrade its hospitality venue which hosts gatherings and concerts all year round.
