Community Support Workers Wanted in Sydney

Leading health care recruitment company, Bower Healthcare are looking for multiple Community Support Workers for work in Sydney.

We assist aged, frail, vulnerable and disabled consumers to live independently in their own homes in the community by providing support services, either on a private, fee for service basis, or through brokerage with a variety of Not-For-Profit community providers. We currently have a critical need for more experienced casual home care and support workers around Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs (multiple vacancies).

We regularly receive bookings (short-term, one off, as well as on-going regular services) to provide in-home care support with all aspects of daily living. Duties include; the provision of high and low-level personal care, including personal hygiene, showering, dressing, etc., respite care, transportation to doctors, shopping  and other appointments, light domestic duties and meal preparation, social monitoring, such as medication prompting, companionship, etc.

Essential requirements: 3 months recent practical care experience in a relevant, local work environment (e.g. in-home care, nursing or group home, hospital, etc.), current work rights in Australia, 2 recent employment or study related references, your own insured vehicle with current NSW drivers licence, excellent communication and time management skills, Certificate III or above (Aged Care, Home & Community Care or Disability), Current First Aid Certificate, Current National Criminal History Record, Working with Children Checks (preferred).
