Start of the Adelaide to Alice Springs tours
We start by driving through the vineyards of the Clare Valley wine region heading north into our rugged Australian Outback through the historic town of Melrose, gateway to the Flinders Ranges. Enjoy a medium grade hike in Alligator Gorge and this area can be bursting with wildflowers.
We drive to Coober Pedy, where most of the world’s supply of beautiful opals comes from. On the drive you are likely to spot Kangaroo’s, emu’s and eagles. Enjoy a tour of an opal mine and there’s time to view the underground attractions of Coober Pedy. Next it’s a big day driving up the Stuart Highway, with several pit stops en route to reach Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon).

Explore Watarrka, where you’ll need to photograph the massive sandstone walls, vast canyon floor and stunning gorges. On the Canyon Rim Walk (3- 4 hours), you’ll experience the beautiful Garden of Eden. Next is the journey into Uluru.
Take a 3 ½ hour walk at dawn around the base of Uluru. Hiking through acacia woodlands and grassy clay pans, you’ll spot wildlife at waterholes and marvel at The Rock’s geological wonders. Later, we relax at our camp ground or join one of our Adrenalin Plus options.
