For those who do not Have Work Experience:
The Council will facilitate and assist work experience placements from high schools, TAFE Colleges, tertiary institutions, a school for people with disabilities and approved placement agencies.
Forward your application at least four weeks in advance to [email protected] with the following information:
• Duration of placement.
• Areas of interest for work experience (finance, digital media, etc.).
• Letter of support and written evidence of worker’s compensation insurance policy from the educational institution or approved placement agency.
The Selection Process has five stages:
• Shortlisting
• The interview
• Reference checking
• Pre-employment assessments
• Notification to applicants
Short Listing
Assessments of applications are based on qualifications, recent and relevant experience, skills and knowledge. An email notification will be sent to you confirming that your request has been received. If you are selected for an interview, you will be notified by telephone.
The Interview
You will be contacted within approximately four weeks of closing date. If you are shortlisted you will be contacted by telephone and given the date, time, location of your interview.
Reference Checks
The referees on your application would be contacted therefore inform them when you include their names.
Pre Employment Assessment
May include medical, psych assessment, national police clearance or working with children ochre card.
Application Notification
Candidates not offered an interview or those who were not the preferred ones will be advised by email that they were unsuccessful on this occasion.
