Itinerary

Your Cool Dingo Tour departs at 9 am on the Kingfisher Bay Resort passenger Ferry. The cruise to Fraser Island takes around 50 minutes across the Great Sandy Strait. Watch for dolphins, turtles or the elusive dugong. Your Cool Dingo Ranger Guide will meet you at the resorts’ jetty, after group introductions and briefing, the 4WD adventure begins.

What You’ll See

Keep an eye for dingoes an Asian wolf, also called a wild god in Australia and more than 354 species of birds, and migrating humpback whales which can be often seen off the eastern beach from July to November. A guide is available always on the trip and guarantee a fun and entertaining time.

Day 1

We visit Fraser Island’s inland sights including Basin Lake where you can get close with the freshwater turtles.

Central Station is an ancient rainforest and the reminders of a former logging camp.

Wanggoolba Creek walk along the banks of this creek with green rainforest and rare king ferns.

Lake McKenzie is prettier than post cards with its sandy beaches and clear waters. Enjoy a swim before heading to Kingfisher Bay.

Day 2

Seventy-Five Mile Beach,Head early to explore, the world’s most amazing beach highway.

Eli Creek, Float down this freshwater creek which pours 80 mega liters of water daily to the seaside.

Maheno Shipwreck, this rusting wreck was washed ashore during a cyclone in 1935.

Indian Head climb this rocky headland for beach and ocean views. Look for sharks, rays and migrating humpback whales (July – November).

Depart on the 8.30 pm ferry back to Hervey Bay.
