On day 1 you will hop on an early morning drive to Mt Wellington. This is the perfect location to take some snaps that will make your mates green with envy. You will then visit MONA – the famous and incredibly out-there art gallery.
If you weren’t a morning person before this trip, then you will be after it with day 2 starting with a scenic morning stroll through the beautiful Bronte Park. This will be followed with a chance to take another walk in Wild Rivers National Park featuring amazing waterfalls, looming cliffs and perfectly crafted footpaths. In the evening, experience Antarctic gusts and cozy down in the quiet, seaside town of Strahan.
On the morning of day 3, you’ll pass through the Henty Sand Dunes, the historic town of Zeehan and onto Corinna, the southern gateway to the Tarkine. Among the Tasmanian wilderness, the Tarkine is an untouched network of rivers and rainforest. Here, you can experience this World Heritage site in any way you choose, be it an optional Pieman River Cruise, exploring from the water on a kayak adventure (both at your own expense), or taking a stroll along the rainforest walking tracks.
As you continue your journey you pass by Savage River and Philosopher Falls. Day 4 brings you to Cradle Mountain National Park – one of Australia’s greatest hiking grounds.
Whilst here, you could opt for a leisurely stroll around Dove Lake, take on Marion’s Lookout or ask your tour guide about alternative walking routes. Once you’ve experienced the terrain, you’ll embark on a short drive to Mole Creek, where you’ll have a chance to delve into the underground caves, before visiting the Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary eventually reaching Launceston.
For the cheese lovers out there, a stop to meet the Pyengana cheese makers on the fifth day of your trip is the perfect treat.
This is a great opportunity to try some local cuisine and maybe even discover your new favourite food! You’ll then visit the Bay of Fires and learn about its interesting history.

Even though it can get a bit chilly, the tropical looking beach is still incredibly inviting, so don’t be surprised if you end up taking a dip. You can then spend the evening watching the local Little Penguins waddling ashore.
It’s an early start on the last day of the tour as you head to the secluded beach of Wineglass Bay and explore the beauty of Freycinet. The location boasts crystal blue waters and gorgeous hilltops, perfect to climb and appreciate the panoramic views – as well as get some enviable snaps of your travels. Stop off at Kate’s Berry Farm and cross the weird and wonderful Spikey Bridge before passing through the village of Richmond. Learn about the local history of the village and then head back to Hobart where the tour concludes.
