Towers Hill Lookout and Amphitheatre
After a little kid named Jupiter discovered some gold on Tower Hill in 1871, the region became a popular spot for people to try their luck at mining. Every night, the Amphitheatre screens Ghosts after Dark, a documentary on Charter Towers’ history.

Magnetic Island Live Entertainment
It is possible to hear live performances by the island’s talented musicians, who play a broad range of styles from hard rock to reggae. Everyone from residents to tourists go to Base Magnetic Island’s monthly “Full Moon Down Under” event to dance the night away to live music from artists all over the globe, including those hailing from Australia. The Bufonidaes races, in which the first toad out of the circle wins, take place every Wednesday at 8 o’clock. I’m having a blast.

Magnetic Island Nature Park
Amazing pathways and breathtaking vistas await you on the island’s natural park’s 36 kilometers of walking routes. Beautiful places to picnic and take selfies and Instagram photos dot this wonderful piece of fitness. Keep an eye out for possums, koalas, rock-wallabies, and a plethora of wild birds; discover more about the island’s Aboriginal inhabitants and their deep connection to nature.
