Day 2 – Nitmiluk National Park to Banka Banka Cattle Station

Tours by bus from Darwin Start off the day by having a soak in the sandy bottomed thermal pools of Mataranka. This is actually a highly popular tourist spot, which most tours go to, so enjoy this unique experience of the thermal pools. A must see place in the area is the Daly Waters Pub, where individuals from the early 80s have left something of theirs behind to leave their mark on this pub. It’s all still there for you to see, and you will be astounded at the number of things on display here. The history of the pub is interesting enough, hence enjoy a drink and revel in the stories surrounding the pub, including shootings, murders and hauntings. The final stop for the day, would be the Banka Banka Cattle Station, which was a well-known cattle station during the time of the World War 2. This was also the main supplier of meat, eggs, fruits and vegetables during this period in time as well.
