Ballarat International Foto Biennale
The Ballarat International Foto Biennale returns in 2019, shifting its focus to photographers who present the world in unconventional ways and in unpredictable circumstances. Featuring the work of some of the biggest international names in photography, the 2019 program delves deep into photographic explorations of human behaviour and human intervention, traversing the terrain of ecology, rights, race, capital and conflict.

Yarra Valley Opera Festival

Cheese devotes get excited, the Holey Cheese Festival is returning to Queen Vic Market for a week of cheese, wine and music. Sample some of Victoria’s best hard, soft, blue, white, fresh and aged rinds from Market traders and local producers; and enjoy cheesy fare from pop-ups.

Day of the Dead at Cactus Country
Day of the Dead at Cactus Country is their biggest event of the year. It’s an experiential food and entertainment night set amongst the incredible 12 acre Cactus Garden. The holiday is about celebrating the souls and spirits that live on, a celebration of life itself. Traditions of the celebration include sugar skulls, private altars, marigolds and favourite food and drinks.
