Margaret River Day Trip Itinerary
Margaret River is a small town south of Perth in Western Australia, renowned for its craft breweries, wineries, chocolate factories, beaches, lighthouses, limestone caves, forests, sea cliffs of Leeuwin-Naturalist National Park and much more.
Visit the Famous Bussleton Jetty
A must see for any visitor to the Margaret River region. This wood pier 19th-century Busselton Jetty stretches almost 2km to the Underwater Observatory, where life in a coral reef is on view, making it the longest wooden jetty in the world. Explore the interpretive centre to learn more about the history behind this fascinating monument.
Explore Mammoth Cave
Mammoth Cave is the large limestone cave, located 21 km south of the town of Margaret River. The site of one of Australia’s most famous caves found in the 1850’s. It lies within the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park and is surrounded by Karri and Marri forest. Mammoth Cave offers a glimpse of the world in prehistoric times with its 35,000 years old fossils of Pleistocene fauna along the 500m long cave surrounded by the beautiful Karri and Marri forest. Don’t forget your jumper, it’s cold underground.
Experience the Margaret River Region
Even if the town itself is a mall place it has a lot to offer, from hiking, water sports, rock climbing, bird watching, boating, shopping, parks & mazes, local markets, beaches, forests and lot more. During the tour you will get to visit Prevelly Beach, world famous due to its consistent surf breaks. Stopping in the Township of Margaret River for a picnic lunch prepared by our guide, visit a local winery and sample some world class wines and finally to Gabriel Chocolate Factory, Western Australia’s first bean to bar chocolate maker, taking raw cacao beans from all around the world.
