Day Trips From Sydney This Winter Winter in Australia is not at all like the winter in the Northern Hemisphere.  It is still warm in most parts of the country, and the least temperature during winter is 10oC.  As such, taking road trips in Australia during winter is suitable.  Here are two day-trips that you can make from Sydney this winter;

1.     Day Trips From Sydney This Winter All inclusive full-day Blue Mountains Trip from Sydney

The rugged Blue Mountains region, located approximately 50 km North West of Sydney, is known for its dramatic scenery of steep cliffs, eucalyptus forests and waterfalls.  This day trip of approximately 10 hours costs AUS $ 128.29, and covers the following features;

i.     Featherdale Wildlife Park

Have the amazing experience of hand-feeding and photographing with the animals at the Featherdale Wildlife Park!  Being one of Sydney’s favourite native wildlife sanctuaries, this park protects and nurtures native Australian wildlife such as Kangaroos, Koalas and a range of birdlife.

ii.    Echo Point Lookout for the “Three Sisters”

Admire the iconic “Three Sisters”, an astonishing natural rock formation from the vantage point of Echo Point and explore the age-old tales surrounding this rock.  This rock formation is named such, as a result of the Aboriginal legend of three sisters turning into stone.

iii    Scenic World Rides

The Scenic World boasts of the incredible railway, skyway and cableway rides.  Let your adrenalin pump in this adventurous part of the trip as you slide over the rainforest canopies, steep valleys and the stunning Katoomba falls in an enclosed glass floor or non-glass floor cabin!

iv    Paramatta River Cruise

End your most memorable day trip with a relaxing cruise along the Paramatta River back to either Darling Harbour or Circular Quay.  The beautiful river bank sceneries and the harbour in the late evening light makes a perfect setting for your photographs.

2.    Hunter Valley Wine Tasting Tour from Sydney

The Hunter Valley, with its reputation for great wine and food, will fill you with awe and wonder in this day tour!  Explore the oldest wine region of Australia and quench your thirst for good wine.  For a cost of AUS $ 141.82, you can visit some of the renowned wineries such as the McGuigan Winery that has won ‘world’s best winemaker’ three times, Shiraz Vineyards, Leogate Estate and Roche Estate.
