Being a coastal city, it is one of the most renowned tourist attractions of the state of Queensland. Boasting of a population of about 0.7 million, Gold coast is the sixth-largest city and the largest non-capital city in Australia in terms of population. It is situated about 66 km southeast of Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland and immediately north of the border of New South Wales.

The Climate of Gold Coast

The climate of Brisbane varies from very mild, relatively dry winters to hot, humid summers representing a humid subtropical climate. The winter season covering the months from June to August is mild with a little to no rain and a temperature hovering from low 20 °C to high 10 °C. Overall, a sunny and warm climate prevails year-round. In fact, this pleasant weather is one of the main reasons that gold coast is internationally renowned among tourists.

Sea World

Sea World is an oceanographic theme park located on the Gold Coast. It is the number one ranked marine park in Australia. The highlights of the park include getting up close with marine animals like polar bears, penguins, manta rays and dolphins. In addition, the park includes recreational rides as well.  In addition, it promotes the conservation of wildlife.

Lamington National Park

Covering over 200 km2, the Lamington National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with more than 160 km of walking trails ideal for viewing wildlife, bushwalking as well as camping.

Surfers Paradise Beach

Easily the most famous beach on the Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise is one of the top beaches of Australia. The gold-tinged sparkling stretches of sand is the ideal place to spend the day soaking in the sun or to cool off taking a dip in the soothing sea. More adventurous souls can even try surfing in epic surf breaks as well as fishing.
