The Swan Valley is noted for its fertile soil, uncommon in the Perth region, and tourism-based destinations. These include numerous wineries such as the huge complex at Houghton, the state’s biggest producer, and Sandalford and also many small family-owned concerns. Nambung Station Stay is a farm stay, spread out on a 2500-hectare sheep and cattle farm. The working farm spreads across 5000 acres and has 300 beef cattle and 3000 merino sheep. The campsite is near the Pinnacles, Nambung National Park etc.  It provides various accommodation options in a nature-based park.  The venue provides farm tours and access to the Painted Desert (part of Pinnacles). You can also access the Hangover Bay for snorkelling, windsurfing and swimming.

2. RAC Cervantes Holiday Park

1. Jurien Bay Tourist Park

Jurien Bay Tourist Park is a very popular destination on the beach with a jetty right in front of it.  It is located just a 3-hour drive north of Perth.  The venue is at the heart of the wildflower region and in close proximity to the Pinnacles.  All amenities are within walking distance from the campsite and accommodation is available to suit all budgets. The inland marina offer mooring and launching ramps for boats. The beach itself is sheltered flanking shimmering waters, perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

1. Murchison House Station

Have a real outback experience at the Murchison House working station that has a history of over 150 years.  It contains over 60 km of rugged Indian Ocean coastline and over 30 km of Murchison River floodplains.  The station is situated on the tranquil banks of the Murchison River and adjoins the Kalbarri National Park.  The venue offers homestead and bush camping. They welcome visitors from April 1st to October 31st annually.

2. Kalbarri Tudor Holiday Park

Shark Bay

1. Bottle Bay Camping

The park features a bush camping area at Bottle Bay with basic facilities.  The camping area is accessible only by high-clearance 4WD vehicles.  Campers are advised to be self-reliant and to bring drinking water adequate for the stay.  Caravans are not recommended due to the narrow and soft sand tracks.  The campground is operated on the ‘first come first serve’ basis. 2. Hamelin Pool Caravan Park

3. Homestead Campgrounds

The Homestead Campgrounds is located on the secluded Dirk Hartog Island, Shark Bay. The camping ground is situated on the east coast of the island, just 20km from the barge landing area.

Coral Bay

1. Ningaloo Station

Ningaloo Station is home to a wide range of animals, from goannas to sheep and goats to kangaroos.  It lets you camp on the grounds and encourages you to show respect for the natural environment. You can choose from the newly managed camping areas within the Ningaloo Coast such as Janes Bay, Point Billie, North Lefroy, South Lefroy Bay or Winderabandi.

2. Warroora Station – Elle’s Beach

A family-run cattle station, Warroora offers an authentic outback coastal experience. The Homestead campground is located just 1 hour south of Coral Bay. You have to travel 23km off the highway on a gravel road to get there. The camping area is accessible via 2WD but you need a 4WD vehicle to access the beach. You should take drinking water, food and fuel. However, there is a small shop that sells firewood, soft drinks, bait and even ice cream.

1. RAC Exmouth Cape Holiday Park

RAC Exmouth Cape Holiday Park is at the gateway to Ningaloo Reef.  With its redevelopment complete, the park offers a resort-style swimming pool and additional caravan and camping sites. The 8 dorm rooms are now deluxe studios.

Yardie Homestead is located at the gateway to the Cape Range National Park.  Set up camp at this venue and rediscover the joy and simplicity of camping.  Due to the isolated location of the campsite, Yardie Homestead generates its own power.  As such, restrictions do apply.  The use of toasters, electric jugs or fry pans, heaters, air conditioners or conventional microwaves are not allowed.

Being located just 20 minutes northwest of Karratha, Cleaverville is a popular spot for camping.  This campsite offers bush camping and basic camping facilities.  Bring plenty of drinking water as it is not available on-site.

Port Hedland

1. Turf Club Free Camping Area

This free campsite allows guests to camp from May till the end of August.  Travellers driving fully self-contained RV vehicles can camp here for two nights.  These self-contained vehicles should contain showers and toilet as well.  Further, they should also contain all the waste for later disposal.
