Things to do in Fremantle Today Australia Visit The Roundhouse

One of the oldest buildings of Western Australia is the twelve-sided roundhouse. The permanent building offers stunning views and is the first permanent building build by the Swan River colony in the 1830s. You should explore the tunnel built beneath the Roundhouse by the Fremantle Whaling Company in 1837.

Fremantle Prison

Fremantle prison holds a fascinating history as a high-security prison built by convicts. Fremantle is also one of Western Australia’s most significant cultural attractions. It was opened to the public in 1992 and offers history. In 2010 it was the first building in the state to be included on the World Heritage List.

The Esplanade Park

Esplanade Park features around 100 mature Norfolk Island pines. The park is a unique relaxing point between the Fremantle fishing Harbour and the Cappuccino Strip. The Park also hosts many events throughout the year.
